Accessibility Statement

Our commitments, current state, and how to reach us.

Last updated: May 30, 2026

1. Our commitment

Style Machine is committed to making stylemachine.art and our physical venue welcoming and usable for everyone, including people with disabilities. We are working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our standard for the website.

2. What we do

  • Design for keyboard navigation and screen-reader compatibility.
  • Maintain sufficient color contrast and resizable text.
  • Provide alt text on images that carry meaningful information.
  • Caption video content where present.
  • Periodically test core flows (browse, add to cart, checkout, RSVP, book) with assistive technology.

3. Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. Known gaps include:

  • Some older event photography may be missing descriptive alt text.
  • Embedded third-party widgets (checkout, booking calendar) may have varying accessibility support.
  • PDF documents in our archive may not be fully tagged.

We are actively working to address these.

4. Visiting the venue

Our Riverwest venue is a converted machine shop. Key facts to plan a visit:

  • Entrance. Step-free at the main entry; one shallow threshold.
  • Restrooms. Single-occupancy gender-neutral restrooms on the main floor.
  • Lighting and sound. Events are often dim, low-light, with amplified music. Earplugs are available on request at the door.
  • Service animals are welcome.
  • Seating. Limited; we can reserve a chair near the front for any guest who asks ahead.

If you have specific access needs for an event or rental, contact us in advance and we will do our best to accommodate.

5. Feedback

If you encounter a barrier on our site or at the venue, we want to hear from you. Email email@stylemachine.art and we will respond within five business days.

6. Formal complaints

If we do not resolve your concern, you may file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice under the Americans with Disabilities Act at ada.gov/file-a-complaint.
